Academies
Altruist Accredidations
According to Altruists' codes of magical classifications, certain magic classes can only be designated by receiving a degree at an accredited institution. These institutions are called magic academies and are separate entities from universities. While attendance at a university is not mandatory for academy acceptance, it is highly recommended. Certain degrees at academies might require a university degree to obtain, or alternatively require an additional two years at the academy to complete.
Magic academies require two years for their higher degrees or four years for higher degrees if the student does not have a university degree. The lower degrees are as follows: Great Mage, Spellwriter, and Physician. The higher degrees are Arch Mage, Grand Witch, and Wizard. The lower degrees can be offered by universities and other institutions; the higher degrees are only available at accredited magic academies.
