Book 1: After the Demons Wars
Freya, the last of the moon fae and a fugitive Sorceress, bewitched the hapless Duke of Dagmar and convinced him to rebel against the king of Nortram. Dying in the struggle, they left behind a set of twins from their sordid affair. Or so their children, Ethan and Cassandra were told.
Exiled from their home country of Nortram on account of their parents’ rebellion, the two siblings have been passed from boarding school to boarding school. Now 22 years old, the twins are starting their first year at the dubious magical academy of Arduval: a school focused on creating mage soldiers, to fight in the next inevitable war with the demons of the underworld.
The twins will have to navigate the deadly affairs of the academy, all while hiding the fact that, despite the twins' magical heritage, Cassandra does not have magic. She does, however, have telepathy, a secret power possessed by no one but her and her deceased mother. But will it be enough to survive the suicidal quest the school forces upon her and her alone?

Overall Series Description
This is the five-part series following the lives of twins, Ethan and Cassandra Hojere (pronounced like the word 'higher'), the children of the now-deceased swordsman and hunter, Duke Ulrik of Dagmar, and the fugitive Sorceress Freya, who was the last known moon fae. It follows the unique story of each siblings as they struggle to find a place in a world forty-five years following the forty-nine-year Quatrieme War with the demons of the underworld. Exiled from their home country of Nortram, on account of their parents, the twins have been stuck living in various boarding schools in the country of Croulia, funded by their Uncle Clemens, the current Duke of Dagmar. The story begins with the twins starting their first year at Arduval, a post-university magical academy, which school they attend despite Cassandra not actually having magic. She had gotten by in magic schools before though, using both magic gems as well as her prodigious ability to write spells. She also hides the fact that she is a telepath like her moon fae mother. On the other hand, Ethan does not have telepathy but is gifted at fighting and magic use, like his parents before him. As each twin establishes relationships with others, figures out their place in society, struggles to survive, and fights monsters and demons, they eventually come to discover the gruesome truth behind their parents' murder, as well as the dark secret behind the cause of the Quatrieme War.
