Ghosts

This is an AI Generated Image.
Ghosts are the bodiless spirits of the deceased. Not everyone becomes a ghost when they die, only those who are overly emotional or evil and then die under extreme emotional trauma. Ghosts personality essentially becomes whatever emotion they were festering in both life and death, to the point that they do not act as rational sentient beings. People whose loved ones become ghosts cannot communicate or have normal relationships with the ghosts as the ghost is obsessed with that emotion to the detriment of all else. If a ghost is haunting a particular family member/person, it can be especially dangerous, as the ghost may either harm them or those around them in a delusional effort to control or supposedly protect them. However, this is highly uncommon. Ghosts will typically haunt specific objects and areas.
Ghosts typically have minor telekinesis powers, allowing them to bother or harass those near them. They sometimes become obsessed with certain people and will eventually kill them. If someone with magic dies and becomes a ghost, they can sometimes, but not always, utilize the same magic they held in life.
Ghosts can sometimes bond with sorcerers to give them additional magic. However, in order to do this, the ghost's will must be entirely subsumed by the sorcerer. This is accomplished by the sorcerer allowing a ghost to fulfill its purpose, such as killing a person that the ghost wanted revenge on or keeping safe an object that the ghost is obsessed with. Bonding with ghosts is considered highly risky. This is because ghosts can turn on their bonded person unexpectedly, for seemingly no obvious reason, such as failing to destroy a trivial trinket of the person they wanted revenge on or placing the object they are obsessed with on the wrong surface.
Ghosts cannot be seen with the naked eye, and can only be seen in obsidian mirrors. Ghosts can hear others, but cannot be heard. Normal weaponry cannot affect ghosts. Only plasma, lightning, and lasers can hurt them. If a person encounters a ghost, they should immediately file a complaint at their local Clerk's or Magistrate's Office to hire a ghost hunter. Ghost hunters will be called in at the local government's expense.
Banshee

This is an AI Generated Image.
Banshees are a type of ghost. They have all the same traits as a typical ghost but are also capable of crying loud enough that the living can hear them. They cannot be heard through normal communication or conversation but can be heard when they cry, wail, and scream. They can also sometimes be heard singing mournful songs of lamentation.
Banshees are usually, though not necessarily, women. These women often become banshees after taking their own life, often in a murder-suicide. These women kill their children/lovers/both and then kill themselves. Because their sorrow is so intense, both the sorrow that led them to kill their loved ones, as well as the sorrow from having killed their loved ones, their wails and songs of sorrow can be heard from beyond the grave.
Wails of banshees have typically been associated with death. This is because of the obsessions often held by banshee ghosts. Since banshees are often sorrowful over the loss of their family/lovers, they will sometimes fixate on people that remind them of their family/lovers/ themselves. While they can on occasion help these people, this fixation often leads them to attack. Banshees have been known to drown children, smoother men while in bed, and stab pregnant women, among other things. When banshee cries are heard, people will often throw out flowers, cry, or play sad songs to appease the banshee. This works as it shows the banshee that the people are sympathetic to her plight, and allows her to keep wandering. Banshees are not bound to any particular area, and will continuously wander until they are dispatched.
Dullahan

This is an AI Generated Image.
A dullahan is the ghost of a person who is obsessed with the idea of recreating a body for themselves. Dullahans use wind magic or earth magic to animate their own dead bodies and skeletons, or the body/skeleton of a similar person (often killing the desired person to subsume their corpse). If a dullahan is missing a body part, like a head, for example, they will attempt to replace it with a reasonable dupe of that missing part, or the body part of a living person or corpse.
Once a dullahan has successfully recreated a body for them, they will try to live a living person's life. This is problematic, first of all, because dullahans are often criminals or soldiers in their former lives and will continue stealing, killing, and wreaking havoc. They also will sometimes return to former lovers and family members and attack them for having moved on with their lives. Finally, since dullahans are operating deceased bodies, they also bring disease and contagion with them, causing plagues. Because of this dullahans are dispatched with as quickly as possible.
Wraith
Wraiths are the ghosts of demons. They have all the typical traits associated with normal ghosts. Wraiths also have the ability to possess people through the use of obsidian stones that are engraved with special demon spells. Another ability that wraiths have is the ability to suck people. They can drain all of a person's magic, energy, and life force so that they die. They can also suck out a person's soul, to entrap them within their demon ghost body to grow their power. A person can ascertain that they are being sucked because the demon's handprint will burn onto their neck where they are being sucked. If a person is being sucked, it is recommended that they run as fast as they can away from the demon. This will cause the wraith to lose track of them, enabling them to escape.
